Charlotte Stone Crabs Tickets
The Charlotte Stone Crabs have been the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays since 2009. The franchise has been in existence since the 1980 season when they were called the Vero Beach Dodgers. The Vero Beach Dodgers served as an affiliate for the Los Angeles Dodgers for 27 seasons before the Rays took over the organization. During their long tenure with the Dodgers, Vero Beach made multiple postseason appearances and even won two Florida State League Championships in 1983 and 1990. At the end of the 2006 season, it was announced that the Dodgers would end their affiliation with the team and would be replaced by the Vero Beach Devil Rays. Tampa Bay kept the team in Vero Beach for only two seasons before the team relocated the squad to Port Charlotte, Florida. In the team's first two seasons as the Charlotte Stone Crabs, the team made it to the Florida State League Championship Series twice. They also made it to the top, winning the league title in 2015. The 2019 season saw the team put up an 82-53 record, but the playoffs were canceled due to an impending hurricane.
