Tame Impala Tickets
Tame Impala is the psychedelic music project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker. What began as a home recording project in Perth in 2007 has evolved into one of the most influential and acclaimed musical acts of the 21st century. In the studio, Parker is a true one-man-band, writing, performing, recording, and producing every sound. For live performances, he is joined by a full band that transforms his intricate studio creations into a breathtaking, multi-sensory experience. Known for a sound that blends psychedelic rock with synth-pop, indie, and electronic music, Tame Impala has become a global phenomenon, headlining major festivals and captivating audiences worldwide.
The journey began with early EPs that quickly garnered attention, leading to the release of the debut album Innerspeaker in 2010. This album, with its fuzzy guitars and 60s psychedelic influences, established Parker as a significant new voice in music. However, it was the 2012 follow-up, Lonerism, that brought widespread critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. The album showcased a broader sonic palette, incorporating more synthesisers and earning accolades for its innovative sound.
In 2015, Tame Impala underwent a significant sonic evolution with the release of Currents. This album saw Parker embracing synth-pop, disco, and R&B, resulting in a global smash hit. The track "The Less I Know the Better" became a cultural touchstone, streamed billions of times and cementing Tame Impala's place in the mainstream, all while retaining the project's unique artistic vision. The album won numerous ARIA awards and received another Grammy nomination. The most recent album, 2020's The Slow Rush, continued this exploration, delving into themes of time and memory with a sound that blended disco, pop, and psych-rock. The album was a commercial and critical success, winning five ARIA awards.
A Tame Impala concert is more than just a musical performance; it is an immersive event. Known for spectacular light shows, lasers, confetti, and huge, immersive visuals, the live experience is a journey in itself. The band seamlessly transitions between high-energy rock anthems and hypnotic, synth-driven soundscapes, creating a party-like atmosphere that has left audiences in euphoria. This unique blend of meticulous studio production and expansive live energy makes seeing Tame Impala an unforgettable experience for any music fan. The innovative spirit of Tame Impala's live shows resonates with fans of other forward-thinking artists like Phoebe Bridgers.
Fans have the opportunity to witness this incredible live spectacle as Tame Impala takes the stage across the globe. Upcoming performances include dates in the United States, such as a show in Portland at the Moda Center and a stop in Denver at the Ball Arena.
