Altoona Curve Tickets
The Altoona Curve almost became a reality in 1979. A local Altoona businessman wanted to put a professional baseball team in his town, but residents were afraid the presence of a pro team would destroy area youth teams. The businessman went on to start a professional team that is today's Albuquerque Isotopes while Altoona wouldn't see a pro team until the late 1990s. When it was announced that the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Rays were going to be expansion teams, it meant that there had to be new Minor League teams as well. In 1997, Altoona was awarded one of the new Double-A clubs that were being added and the Curve was born. Altoona played its first game as the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1999. The Curve made its first playoff appearance in 2003 where it lost to the eventual Eastern League champions. The winning ways continued, and Altoona won its first league championship in 2010. The 2019 Curve saw the team put up its first losing record since 2014 at 69–71. Buy your 2020 Altoona Curve tickets at StubHub.Are there any Altoona Curve players in the Major Leagues?

He went on to play professional baseball in multiple countries around the world, including in France. It was at his stop in France during the 1992 season that Turgeon converted to a right-handed pitcher and proceeded to make multiple All-Star teams. Turgeon has coached since 2000. Part of his coaching included a lengthy run at various NCAA programs. As a minor league manager, Turgeon has a career record of 152–193 in five seasons at the helm, including a 105–98 mark within the Pirates' organization. What are the top Altoona Curve games to attend?
The Erie SeaWolves used to be the Double-A affiliate of the Pirates, and these two teams are in the same division. Both these factors combine to form a natural rivalry. Each season the Governor's Cup is awarded to the team that wins the season-long head-to-head series between the Curve and the Reading Fightin Phils. Even though the parent clubs are in a different division, these two teams battle for Pennyslvania supremacy. Finally, the Curve compete for the "Route 22 Rivalry Trophy" against the nearby Harrisburg Senators.Where do the Altoona Curve play?
Peoples Natural Gas Field, usually called PNG Field, is the home of the Altoona Curve. The 7,210-seat stadium initially opened in 1999 for the newly founded team. The crowd at the first game was a near sellout. Twenty-one years later, PNG Field is still widely regarded by players and fans across Minor League Baseball. The hi-def video board in left field is only rivaled by the roller coaster that can be seen over the right field wall. The three roller coaster cars line up together to spell "Go Curve" on the sides.Where can I buy Altoona Curve tickets?
