The World's Strongest Man Super Series Has Arrived!
All stretched out? Twelve protein shakes guzzled down in quick succession? Angry, strongman face prepped? Okay, you're ready for the World's Strongest Man Super Series. Only kidding… All you need to do is buy or sell your World Strongest Man Super Series tickets via StubHub! They're available now, but you might still want to get that strongman face ready.
Bringing Strength Athletics to the Global Stage
The World's Strongest Man Super Series was introduced as a response to worries that there was no established international tour in the sport of strength athletics, unlike tennis, for example, where events such as the US Open and the Australian Open take athletes to compete all over the world. This strongman series makes sure there are numerous, eminent competitions throughout the year. The placings of competitors in each are also used to decide an overall Super Series Champion at the end of the tour. Since its beginning in 2001, events have taken place in Sweden, Czech Republic, Canada and Hawaii, featuring athletes from all over the world, from Norway to Poland and the United States of America. With World's Strongest Man Super Series tickets now available to buy and sell via StubHub, you can witness the awe-inspiring strength of these super athletes as they battle it out to achieve the elusive, prestigious and ever-iconic title.
Do You Even Lift?
Usually up to twelve strongmen take part in each GP, six of them being the top internationally ranked athletes and at least four qualifiers. The winner of each series is awarded ten points, nine for second and so on. By the end of the tour, the winner with the most points is crowned champion. Between 2001-2010, competitors from the United States of America won three titles: Derek Poundstone (a fitting name, and yes, it's his real one!), a police officer from Connecticut, in 2008; and Brian Shaw, who won the event in 2009 and 2010. Mariusz Pudzianowski, known as Dominator and representing Poland, has won the Super Series three times, as well as the World's Strongest Man five times, the most of any strongman athlete as of 2009. Other notable strongmen include England's Eddie Hall, who became the only man to deadlift 500 kg under strongman rules in 2016. There are certainly spectacles to be seen and records to be broken as these super-human athletes continue to push boundaries in the sport. See it all live, with World's Strongest Man Super Series tickets available to buy and sell via StubHub now!
