The Vulture Festival includes both a New York event and, since 2017, a Los Angeles event. The New York event usually takes place in May at the Milk Studios, a digital creative space, and surrounding venues throughout the city. The Los Angeles event takes place in November at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and surrounding venues around the city. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is the oldest still operating hotel in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission designated it as a historic-cultural monument in 1991.
