Ueno Gakuen Hall - featuring beautiful acoustics
Officially named the Hiroshima Prefectural Culture and Arts Hall, yet known as Ueno Gakuen Hall, the venue is predominantly a conference, exhibition, banquet and concert hall located in the Naka-ku area of Hiroshima city. Set in the former Hiroshima Post Savings Hall along the Ota River in Shirashima, the venue dates back to the 1970s and became the Hiroshima Cultural Exchange Hall in 2010. Since then it has been welcoming both J-pop and international musicians for sell-out concerts, offering spectacular acoustics. With a capacity of 1,730 consisting of 1,230 seats on the first floor and 500 seats on the second floor, the multi-purpose building is laid out over two storeys. The upper floor offers a conference room, rehearsal rooms and studio, while the basement floor holds the hall and the "Sher" restaurant for visitors. With fantastic public transport links including nearby train stations and a bus stop, Ueno Gakuen Hall is the perfect venue in Hiroshima to watch world-class performers.
