Tickets & Tour Information For The Aristocrats
The Aristocrats Tickets
Named after the infamous dirty joke, multinational supergroup The Aristocrats' blend of virtuoso musicianship and mischievous humour has seen them become one of the most distinctive acts in the instrumental rock fusion genre. Driven by the six-string wizardry of guitar hero Guthrie Govan, the trio has continued to thrill audiences worldwide since its formation in the early 2010s, thanks to a high-energy playful sound that draws upon artists as varied as Frank Zappa, Rage Against the Machine and King Crimson.
Schedule
The Aristocrats is constantly on the road and will spend most of the year touring the world in support of their third LP, Tres Caballeros. An extensive North American trek, featuring stops in Vancouver, Salt Lake City and Nashville as well as a two-night residency at Chicago's Reggie's, will be followed by shows in Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Norway, Turkey, Romania, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Aristocrats tickets are also on sale for UK dates in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London and Brighton, with the group wrapping up their packed itinerary at Paris' La Maroquinerie.
Trivia
Govan only joined the line-up after New York solo artist and sideman Greg Howe pulled out shortly before their first ever gig. The band recorded their 2015 second live album, Culture Clash Live!, in front of fans with The Aristocrats tickets across six different countries, including USA, England, Mexico, the Netherlands, Thailand and Japan.
Band
Following the rapturous response to their one-off show at The Anaheim Bass Bash during the 2011 Winter NAMM show, British guitarist Govan (Asia, The Young Punx), American bassist Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai) and German drummer Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, Adrian Belew) decided to join forces full time. Influenced by 70s fusion, groove metal, prog and instrumental rock, the group headed to Chicago to record their debut album, which was released through their very own Boing! Label later the same year.
Breakthrough
The Aristocrats first came to national attention with their self-titled first studio effort, a nine-track affair co-produced by Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section legend Jimmy Johnson that went on to top many end-of-year lists. Keen to capitalise on its success, the group then issued Boing! We'll Do It Live, a collection of recordings from two shows held at Los Angeles' Alvas Showroom in 2012.
Hit Albums
With three songs each for the band's members to shine, The Aristocrats' 2013 second album Culture Clash may have adhered to the same formula as its predecessor, but its greater sense of adventure and intensity saw attracted even more fans, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. 2015's Secret Show: Live in Osaka, which was recorded on their lengthy 109-date accompanying world tour, proved once again that the group was an even more intriguing proposition on stage than it was in the studio.
Show Experience
One of the most compelling live acts on the contemporary instrumental rock circuit, The Aristocrats are famous for making eye contact with their adoring crowds as they take the studio versions of their best-loved songs on improvised rides. Alongside all the awe-inspiring musical prowess, fans with The Aristocrats tickets should also expect to hear tales of each track was created and plenty of the band's offbeat humour, their habit of jamming with squeaky animal toys just one example of how they refuse to take themselves too seriously.
