In fact, since 1999, the Beavers softball team has made it to NCAA tournament play 14 times. Before competing in the NCAA, the Oregon State Beavers were part of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). Who is the coach of the Oregon State Beavers women's softball team?2019 was Laura Berg's seventh season as head coach of the Oregon State softball program. Her first year at the helm of the Beavers resulted in her capturing the most wins (34) ever for a first-year Beaver coach, which, for the Beavers, was the second 30-win season in a row. Additionally, the Beavers also batted .280 that year, which tied the school record. In 2014, the Beavers beat that record by posting a team batting average of .287. They would continue on this record-breaking streak over the next couple of years by batting .298 in 2015 and .306 in 2016. In 2012, 2013 and 2017, Berg was the guiding force that led the Beavers to the NCAA Regionals. In 2019, the Beavers had their best season start under Berg since 2003, going 8-0. The team also booked some big wins that year, including beating No. 17 Arizona State and shutting out the Oregon Ducks.
