Under Sandelin's leadership, the Bulldogs have been NCAA champions three times: in 2010-11, 2017-18 and 2018-19. Before he came to Minnesota-Duluth, Sandelin was an assistant coach at North Dakota, which is where he played college hockey. During his playing career at North Dakota, Sandelin was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award and went onto play professional hockey for several seasons, including stints with the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers and the Minnesota North Stars in the NHL. The Bulldogs’ coaching staff includes assistants Jason Herter, Adam Krause and Brant Nicklin.
