Iowa Hawkeyes Women's Volleyball TicketsThe Iowa Hawkeyes women's volleyball team was a powerhouse of a program in its earlier days. Under coaches Sandy Stewart, Mary Phyl Dwight and Ruth Nelson, the Hawkeyes pulled off winning seasons regularly. And under Stewart and Nelson, these wins included exceptional performances in Big Ten Conference play. That's not to say that the Hawkeyes weren't winners after these coaches left the program. In fact, sprinkled among the seasons of tough losses, you'll find standout years when the Hawkeyes rallied to post overall and conference winning records, such as the 2000 season, when the team went 15-13 overall and 11-9 in Big Ten play. Also, the last few years of the program have produced a couple of winning years, including the 2016 and 2017 seasons, when the Hawkeyes had overall records of 19-13 and 18-15, respectively. With Vicky Brown named head coach in 2019, the team may just be on its way to prolonged greatness. Get your Iowa Hawkeyes women's volleyball tickets at StubHub.

Additionally, Willis garnered a few honors, including All-America honorable mention in 1990, and received All-Big Ten honors second team in 1988 and first team in 1989 and 1990. Who coaches the Iowa Hawkeyes? In 2019, Vicki Brown became Iowa's 10th women's volleyball coach. She had previously spent three months as the program's interim head coach after the sudden departure of the team's previous leader, Bond Shymansky. Brown's history with the Hawkeyes dates back to 2017 when she was hired as an associate head coach. Her first year leading the Hawkeyes was plagued with injuries and resulted in the team posting an overall record of 10-21. However, Brown still managed to coach the team to some great moments, which included a shutout of No. 22 Washington State. Brown's coaching was also instrumental in the development of individual players, such as Brie Orr, who posted 3,000 career assists, and Griere Hughes, who booked 321 kills. Before joining the Hawkeyes, Brown was head coach of indoor and beach volleyball at the University of San Francisco.
