Florida Gators Women's Volleyball Tickets
The University of Florida’s women's volleyball team began somewhat later than similar programs at other colleges. The university authorized the creation of the team for the fall 1984 season under first head coach Marilyn McReavy. Although McReavy's overall win record outweighed the losses, her final season in 1990 boasted only a 15—16 record. The Gators made their first appearance in the Final Four in 1992, ultimately losing to the UCLA Bruins. Another notable Final Four appearance occurred in 2002 with the defeat of the Temple Owls in the Sweet 16. An overall win for the Gators was again thwarted, this time by the USC Trojans. Despite some crushing losses as the team neared the top, the Florida Gators have continued to improve under Wise's leadership. The Gators fought hard to get to a No. 1 ranking in 2017.
