Known for her piano and ukulele skills and soothing voice, Dorothy Miranda "Dodie" Clark is an English singer and songwriter whose YouTube channels are some of the most well-known in music. On her main channel - where she goes by the alias "doodleoddle" - Clark has posted over 150 videos; accruing over 1.5M subscribers and 166 million views. She also has a side channel - "doddlevloggle" - which has over 340 videos, over 94 million views, and over 825,000 subscribers. As if that wasn't enough, she also has a Vevo channel - dodieVEVO - with 12 million views and 300,000 subscribers.
With the force of her followers behind her, Clark released two independent extended plays, Intertwined and You, both of which charted within the top 40 of the UK Albums Chart without the help of a record label. Dodie Clark: YouTube sensation goes viral
Famous for sharing her life on YouTube as a teen, Dodie began working on her debut EP, Intertwined, in early. Released that same year, the record included tracks such as "Absolutely Smitten", "Life Lesson" and "I Have A Hole In My Tooth (And My Dentists Are Shut)" and was a both a critical and commerical success. With no record company backing, the EP reached number 35 in the UK charts, and laid the ground for Dodie's second record You.
Before that, however, she performed live for her fans across the UK at a series of in-demand shows, before landing a spot on the Transatlantic Tour, on which she performed with fellow YouTube stars Jon "Paint" Cozart, Rusty Clanton, and Tess Violet. You was released in 2017, and came agonisingly close to topping the chart; peaking at six.
