Who is the head coach of the Colorado College Tigers?Mike Haviland has been a hockey coach for over 20 years. He became the head coach of the Colorado College Tigers in May of 2014. At the time, the Tigers were just one year into their tenure in the NCHC. Under Haviland's guidance, the Tigers program has found a lot of success. In 2017-2018, Tigers defenseman Nick Halloran was an All-American selection, the first since Haviland arrived in Colorado Springs. That same year, the Tigers won the Gold Pan for beating rival Denver during their annual series. Mike Haviland has also coached at the NHL level as an assistant in Chicago from 2008-2012. Haviland played college hockey at Elmira College and was later an assistant coach there. Drafted by the New Jersey Devils, Mike Haviland played professionally in the ECHL and AHL.
