Brooklyn Nets - one of NY's two NBA teams
Rivals with the neighbouring New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets are one of two teams who represent the Big Apple in the NBA. Catch the franchise in action by purchasing your Brooklyn Nets tickets on StubHub.
The franchise formerly known as New Jersey Nets
The Brooklyn Nets originated in the mid-1960s as a charter franchise of the American Basketball Association, the National Basketball Association's rival league. The team initially competed as the New Jersey Americans before relocating to Long Island, where they assumed the name of the New York Jets and subsequently won two ABA championships. The franchise then joined fellow ABA teams the Indiana Pacers, the Denver Nuggets and the San Antonio Spurs in the 1976 merger with the NBA and a year later returned to their original New Jersey home. The rechristened New Jersey Nets added to the team's trophy cabinet with back-to-back Eastern Conference championships in the early '00s, and in 2012, they once again changed their home venue and name by moving to the Barclays Center under the guise of the Brooklyn Nets. The franchise competes in the same Eastern Conference Atlantic Division as fellow Big Apple team the New York Knicks. You can both buy and sell Brooklyn Nets tickets on StubHub now.
The multi-purpose Barclays Center
The Brooklyn Nets play their home games at the Barclays Center, an indoor multi-purpose arena that opened in the same year they moved from New Jersey in 2012. Boasting a capacity of nearly 18,000, the venue also serves as home to the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and stages numerous music concerts, sporting events and conventions throughout the year. Alan Williams, Ed Davis, D'Angelo Russell, Theo Pinson and Joe Harris are just a few of the names who have pulled on a Brooklyn Nets jersey over the years, while coaches have included P.J. Carlesimo, Jason Kidd, Lionel Hollins and Kenny Atkinson. Alongside the spectacle of various world-class players at the top of their game, the Brooklyn Nets home experience has also included a mascot created by none other than Marvel Entertainment and the sound of official team anthem, 'Brooklyn: Something to Lean On', composed by Grammy-nominated producer John Forté. Don't miss out on the opportunity to see the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division franchise take to the court and check out the various Brooklyn Nets tickets currently on offer at StubHub.
