History of Basketball - More Than Shooting Hoops

In 1893 the president of Birkenhead YMCA, C.J Proctor, introduced the sport to Britain for the first time, but it wasn't until World War I that the sport reached started to grow in popularity on our shores. Today, more and more Britons have become avid followers of the sport and the British Basketball League has been running since 1987.
