Smoothie King Center Tickets
The Smoothie King Center is home to the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans. The arena began holding events in 1999 after about four years of construction. The official seating capacity is 17,805 for concerts with a little less than 17,000 seats available for basketball and arena football games. As a multipurpose indoor arena, the Smoothie King Center's layout is customizable. While performing concerts, some musical performers only use half the arena while others use either the end-stage or center-stage to accommodate larger audiences. The Smoothie King Center is also used for trade shows and conventions. The State of Louisiana owns the center, and the SMG Corporation runs it. The venue has hosted several NBA All-Star games, NCAA tournament matchups, women's basketball Final Fours, MMA and WWE events and PBR tour events. Those coming from farther away might consider taking a train to the nearby Union Passenger Terminal. Is the Smoothie King Center child-friendly?
For many events, including basketball games, children are welcome. Guests may bring strollers into the arena, and they can even keep strollers with them if they don't block any walkways or sightlines. As the name of the center might suggest, smoothies are available at the Smoothie King locations in the arena.
