How many championships have the Auburn Tigers softball team won?The Auburn Tigers softball team won the Southeastern Conference Tournament championship title in 2015 and 2016. Auburn is 8-1 in SEC tournament play and managed to only give up six total runs in three games in the single-elimination tournament in 2016. The Tigers beat LSU by 7-1 and took home the trophy.

Prior to his taking this position at Auburn, Dean was the head coach at James Madison for five years and held the same position at Radford for six seasons. During his collegiate coaching career before coming to Auburn, Dean coached nine NCAA Tournament teams that included a participant in a super-regional and led his teams to nine conference championships. He has been named as the conference coach of the year eight times. Dean's leadership made an instant impact on the softball program at Auburn as he led his team to a 15-0 record for the 2018 season, making him the holder of the most wins in SEC history as a first-year head coach. Earlier in his career, Dean was the assistant coach at Akron, Indiana and Longwood, in that order.
Where does the Auburn Tigers softball team play?The Auburn Tigers softball program is based at Jane B. Moore Field, a softball complex and facility. It has a seating capacity of 2,316, has a natural-grass playing surface and opened in 1998. The Tigers began playing at Jane B. Moore Field in 1998, when they hosted Georgia in their first at-home game and the first SEC game played at the complex. Their first full season played in the field was in 1999. Originally named the Auburn Softball Complex, the facility was expanded in 2003 with additional permanent seats, indoor batting cages, a state-of-the-art press box with two premium boxes and a concession area. The complex was then renamed in honor of Dr. Jane B. Moore, who was a long-serving member on the Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics for Auburn University. In 2015, the complex was expanded again to meet the growing demand for seats.
