90s Love Fest background
90s Love Fest started in February 2017 with a special event in Tarboro, North Carolina. R&B groups Silk and H-Town headlined the event, and there was support from VEDO, who got his big break on NBC's The Voice. Up-and-coming R&B musician Hyrache also appeared on stage at the festival. This inaugural event was a huge success, so promoters added more dates to the 90s Love Fest tour.
90s Love Fest history
90s Love Fest features R&B vocal group H-Town, who had a string of hits in the mid-to-late '90s. The group, which hails from Houston, Texas, is famous for their sensitive, soulful tunes, which became staples of the radio waves. H-Town released their debut album, Fever for da Flavor, in 1993. It was a commercial smash -- the 12-song set peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart -- and spawned the single "Knockin' Da Boots," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. H-Town continued to release songs throughout the '90s. "I'm Still in Love With You," "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate," "They Like It Slow" -- all of these songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100.
Silk appears alongside H-Town on the 90s Love Fest tour. The R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia, has released seven albums and sold millions of records worldwide. "Freak Me" remains their biggest hit to date: the single catapulted to No.1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles charts. Silk's third album, Tonight, went three times platinum in the United States and generated two Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Some of the group's other signature hits include "Lose Control," "If You (Lovin' Me)" and "Meeting in My Bedroom."
VEDO supports H-Town and Silk on the 90s Love Fest tour dates. The singer made it all the way to the live shows and has established a successful career in the music industry. VEDO released his debut album, 93, in 2015. The 10-song set includes the tracks "Need My Girl Back," "Say My Name" and "Pull Up." VEDO's second album, As I Am, came out in 2016.
