O2 Academy Leeds
Situated in Leeds City Centre, this Cookridge Street venue was first opened by Prince Albert in 1885. Originally known as the Coliseum, it played host to a number of political meetings, film screenings and circus shows. By 1992, the building had reopened as the Town and Country Club, with artists such as Blur, The Stone Roses and Robbie Williams gracing its stage in the following 8 years. The building saw a £7 million re-development in 2001 and was thereon known as Creation Nightclub. After a brief closure in 2007, the venue was back to its best by the following year and officially became the O2 Academy it is today and has seen the likes of Paolo Nutini, Hot Chip and local favourites The Kaiser Chiefs take to its stage.

This venue attracts some of music's biggest stars, and the in the coming months will see bands such as Years and Years, Hot Chip and Alabama Shakes grace its stage, whilst up-and-coming artists like James Bay are set to give captivating performances in front of a packed audience. The building also hosts fantastic club nights and is a big favourite with the students that populate the city across the year.
Only a short distance from the city centre of Leeds, the venue is easily accessible via train from Leeds Railway Station and then is only a short walk or bus ride away. There is also ample parking only minutes away too for those travelling by car.
