Murray's background couldn't contrast more with the working class character he portrays. Educated at a private school and then at a prestigious Oxford college the comedian is a decedent of very noble line. Disliking the pretention of his education Murray found solace in comedy, joining the famous comedy group the Oxford Revue during his studies.
