VfL Wolfsburg Tickets
The football rollercoaster that is VfL Wolfsburg
This team has gone through many ups and downs in the last few years. VfL Wolfsburg went from competing for the title in Season 2015-16 to almost dropping out of the Bundesliga two seasons in a row. The team with established players like Kevin De Bruyne, Schurrle, Bas Dost and Ivan Perisic on the world football scene is getting ready for another season of surprises that will surely bring the fans a lot of emotions on the pitch. VfL Wolfsburg tickets can be bought or sold via StubHub.
Will the Wolves show their teeth again?
In 2013, Die Wolfe made some of the best deals in the transfer market, signing Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich and Kevin De Bruyne from Chelsea. The fans were elated after a successful season and were expecting more of the same in the next ones, but no one was prepared for what came. In the 2014-15 season, the team secured second place in the league, winning 20 games out of 34 and only five losses. In the same year, they won their Domestic Cup against Borussia Dortmund in the final and delivered a more-than-surprising 4-1 victory against Bayern Munich at home. In the next season, the Wolfsburg team proved they're in top form by taking on European behemoths Manchester United, knocking them out in the group stage. They also managed to grab a 2-0 win against multiple cup-holder Real Madrid. At that point, selling off Kevin De Bruyne and Perisic probably wasn't the best move, as it saw Wolfsburg finish 8th at the end of the season. The team fell deeper over the following two seasons, barely avoiding relegation twice in a row by winning their playoff matches. This is a team that has been through the best and the worst of times. What will their next season bring?
VfL Wolfsburg - a story of ups and downs
For some, VfL Wolfsburg tickets are not just football match tickets; they signify the long and hard history of one of Germany's iconic squads. The first football clubs in the city were established a few years before the end of World War II. On the 12th of September, 1945, VSK Wolfsburg was first created. This was also when the team started playing in their characteristic green, a color that is worn by the team to this day. The trainer at the time had ten green jerseys and white sheets were used to sew the team's shorts. In December of 1945, all but one of the players left the team, almost destroying it completely. After that, new players were recruited and the team received its current name, VfL Wolfsburg. VfL Wolfsburg Tickets can be bought or sold via StubHub.
