Who was the highest scoring player in St. John's Red Storm history?The 1980s powerhouse teams were led by Chris Mullin, and his shooting. Mullin set a school record, scoring 2,440 points in his St. John's career, and came back to the Queens campus for a stint as head coach. Mullin was a three-time conference player of the year in 1983, 1984 and 1985, beating out the legendary Patrick Ewing for that honor.
Who are some other Red Storm legends?Besides Mullin, St. John's has had numerous stars on campus. Al McGuire, who won a national title as coach of the Marquette Warriors, played his college ball at St. John's. Mark Jackson and Bill Wennington were also stars on the Mullin-led squads.
