Exhibitions at SEC Armadillo Glasgow - Glasgow's Iconic Exhibition and Live Music Venue

The SEC Armadillo complex is comprised of five main exhibition halls, the Clyde Auditorium (affectionately known by locals as "the Armadillo"), and the Hydro Arena, which can hold over 15,000 people between them. The centre was officially opened by HM the Queen in 1985, with a grand performance from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra to celebrate the occasion.

Since then, holders of SEC Armadillo tickets have been treated to performances from many of the world's top artists, from Pavarotti and Bryan Adams in the early '90s to Arctic Monkeys and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in more recent years. The Armadillo is also notable as the place where the talent of Susan Boyle was first discovered. The crowds of people arriving for music concerts, exhibitions and conferences every year has culminated in the creation of the complex's own on-site 4 star hotel and the Exhibition Centre railway station.
