San Jose, California
San Jose as it is the third largest city in all of California and the largest in Northern California. In the 20th Century the city exploded from what had once been one of the largest undeveloped areas in the Bay Area, and a farming town, to a major metropolitan area that earned the title the Capital of Silicon Valley. If you are looking to experience nature head out to Los Gatos Creek Trail or one of the several other great hiking spots in the area. Museums like the San Jose Museum of Art provide cultural outings for residents and visitors alike, and the city's thriving arts and music scene provides plenty of nightlife entertainment.
