Ben Jacobson has been the head coach for the Northern Iowa Panthers since 2006. Before becoming head coach for the Panthers, Jacobson was an assistant coach for the Northern Iowa Panthers basketball team from 2001-2006, and before that, he was an assistant coach at North Dakota State. Jacobson has an overall record of 266-168 for 13 seasons with the Panthers. As of 2019, Jacobson has led the Panthers to four NCAA tournament spots and four NCAA victories. He has been a Missouri Valley Coach of the Year three times, and he is fifth in all-time MVC coaching wins. He ranks sixth for MVC conference wins at 130 victories.
