Nashville in Concert: cast members of hit US show to go out on farewell UK tour in 2018

Stars of Lionsgate’s hit television series Nashville are set to play one final time for audiences around the UK during their Farewell UK tour in April 2018. Beginning in Birmingham, the tour will feature cast members Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio, with each show including songs from the series as well as artists’ original material.

The stars will also call at Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff, before performing their last ever show in front of what is sure to be a packed house at London’s O2 Arena.

"The cast of Nashville have become tremendous ambassadors and representatives of a city that they now love. They carry with them the spirit of the city and its music," said Steve Buchanan, president of Opry Entertainment. "The 2018 UK Tour will be bittersweet for our cast of amazing actors, singers and songwriters as they share the stage together for one last farewell to the fans."

Nashville: hit US drama series will come to an end after sixth series

The series chronicles the lives of various fictitious country music singers in Nashville, Tennessee starring Connie Britton as Rayna Jaymes, a legendary country music superstar, whose stardom begins fading, and Hayden Panettiere as rising younger star Juliette Barnes.

The series premiered on US channel ABC in October 2012, and had more than 8.93 million viewers along with almost unparalleled critical reception throughout its five series'. In April 2017, CMT (which took over the series in 2016) renewed Nashville for a 16-episode sixth season that debuted on 4 January 2018. On 17 November, however, it was announced that the sixth season would be the show's final season.

After successful live American tours in 2014 and 2015, dates in the United Kingdom and Ireland were announced along with further US performances in 2016.
