Jamie T - New Tour, New Album Trick
Part rapper, part singer-songwriter, the distinctive style of Jamie Alexander Treays' music has made him one of the indie-rock heroes of the mid-2000s. After wowing the world with his debut track 'Sheila' the London artist has gone from strength to strength, crafting sing-a-long anthems and catchy hits as well as a string of critically and commercially successful albums. After bringing out Kings and Queens in 2009, Treays went off the radar, only to reappear five years later with a more mature sound on Carry On the Grudge. Fourth album Trick brings a fresh new style, made especially clear on tracks like 'Tinfoil Boy' and 'Drone Strike', and fans are clamouring to hear his new material on. Jamie T Biography - Hip Hop, Punk, Pop and Rock Influenced Artist
Born and raised in South London, Treays was inspired by a eclectic network of artists like The Clash, Beastie Boys and even Bruce Springsteen. After recording his own music at home, the resulting seven-inch 'Salvador' would go on to be picked up by BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, who made it his single of the week in 2006. Treays gained further exposure when Damon Albarn asked him to open for Blur, and acted as producer for the up-and-coming star's debut album Panic Prevention. Containing the runaway hits 'Sheila' and 'Calm Down Dearest', the future was bright.
Sophomore effort Kings and Queens cemented his A-list musician status, and bouncy single 'Sticks and Stones' became one of the talented troubadour's best loved hits. Despite this success, he retreated from the limelight until 2014, returning to the scene with Carry on the Grudge and the infectious single 'Zombie'. Now fans can enjoy the latest music from the gobby indie star by getting Jamie T tickets at StubHub UK.
