Choose comedy, concerts or cinema at Tramshed Cardiff
Tramshed Cardiff does pretty much what it says on the tin: once a tram depot for the suburb of Grangetown, this cavernous red brick building fell into disuse after a brief period of serving as maintenance workshops for council vehicles. Rescued by a redevelopment project, Tramshed Cardiff was reopened in autumn 2015 as an exciting new arts and culture venue. Despite the enormous size of the structure, the capacity of Tramshed Cardiff is just 1,000 - smaller than Motorpoint Arena Cardiff or St Davids Hall, it can pull a good crowd for events but not leave you feeling completely lost. Aiming to be an inclusive venue that will appeal to the whole community, the listings include tribute groups, drum and bass or house parties, rock bands and indie singers, comedians and new music festivals, to name just a few of the events on offer. The Tramshed Cardiff cinema is also a popular location for catching the latest releases: equipped with first class airline seats and a bar serving craft beer and cocktails, the 46-seat cinema throws open its doors twice every day. So, whether you're a film buff or a music lover, there are Tramshed Cardiff tickets out there for you.
Tramshed Cardiff: an urban rejuvenation
The iconic brick façade of Tramshed Cardiff is located just a short distance from the central train station, making it accessible from across or even beyond the city. With the city centre's plethora of bars and restaurants nearby, you'll be spoiled for choice as to where to refresh yourself before or after the event - not to mention the bars and food options that Tramshed Cardiff itself provides. Despite missing out on becoming European Capital of Culture in 2008, the arts scene in Cardiff has been exploding recently and the Welsh capital has become a hot destination for music, theatre, dance and the performing arts. The opening of new venues like the Wales Millenium Centre and now Tramshed Cardiff demonstrate the city's insatiable appetite for culture and that there is something for everybody here. Discover new music, laugh out loud at your favourite comedian or dance the night away in this beautifully restored venue: Tramshed Cardiff tickets are now available to buy or sell on StubHub.
