An energetic young UK band, The Lathums have burst onto the music scene with their alternative Indie sound and "magic book of lyrics".  Founded by Alex Moore, Scott Concepcion, Jonny Culliffe and Ryan Durrans, the four piece teenage band launched themselves onto the music scene in 2018 and their feet haven’t touched the ground since! Soon after releasing their first single, The Great Escape, the band caught the attention of performer Tim Burgess of The Charlatans.  Knowing there was one act short for the ‘Kendal Calling’ music festival, Burgess tweeted the band and The Lathums found themselves playing to their first, packed out live audience. The group of friends who got together while students at Wigan’s ‘The Pemberton Music Project’, are keeping their feet firmly rooted on the ground despite the speed of their rise to fame.  All they want to do is write, record and perform. The Wigan wonders

Making waves in the musical business, Indie band The Lathums developed their "alternative sound" through a wide range of musical influences. Singer-songwriter Alex Moore is credited with writing their "magic book of lyrics" and is much heralded for his "angelic" singing voice. The young Wigan band have already shared a musical stage with celebrated artists such as the legendary performer Tom Jones, The Courteeners, and the Manic Street Preachers. A performance with fellow Indie band, Manchester’s Dirty Laces was completely sold out, filling the coolest club in Manchester, The Gorilla, with their eager fans. Along with continued promotion from Tim Burgess, popular Liverpool band ‘The Coral’ are also big supporters. So impressed were they by the potential of these young musical friends, they lent their own studio access to the band. This enabled the "Wigan four" to further develop their unique sound that we know and love today.
