Tickets & Tour Information For Melodys Echo Chamber
Melody's Echo Chamber tickets
There's a strange and beautiful alchemy that happens when talented people come together. To create Melody's Echo Chamber, the gorgeous, angelic vocals and expressive songwriting of Melody Prochet combine with the chaotic 1960s-tinged productions of Tame Impala's Kevin Parker. The band's bewitching 2012 dream-pop debut made the critics sit up and take notice, and now, with the band's sophomore album on the way, Melody's Echo Chamber are a force to be reckoned with.
Schedule
Following a successful tour opening for Tame Impala, Melody's Echo Chamber is preparing for headlining dates in North America this summer. They're playing the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles, the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and a pair of summer festivals, FYF in Lost Angeles and Levitation, the Austin Psych Fest in Austin, Texas. Watch for Melody's Echo Chamber tickets on sale for shows throughout the year.
Trivia
Melody's Echo Chamber got an early boost thanks to their collaboration with acclaimed psychedelic rock band Tame Impala, and specifically frontman Kevin Parker, who began seeing Melody Prochet during the production of her debut album. They met after Prochet saw Tame Impala play in Paris, and was mesmerized by the band's unique sound. She approached Parker after the show and demanded to know "all his secrets." He refused, but the two hit it off, bonding instantly over their shared musical geekery.
Band/Singer
Melody's Echo Chamber frontwoman Melody Prochet, a classically trained singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboards, synthesizer, guitar, violin, and viola on her album, as well as singing. Prochet grew up in the idyllic south of France, in Puyricard. She took part in several bands, including My Bee's Garden and Narcoleptic Dancers, but found the crowded French music scene stifling.
Soon after meeting Kevin Parker, she moved to his home city of Perth, Australia. There, she honed her craft, moving into an artist's commune, surrounding herself with musicians and other creative types, and working closely with Parker and other members of Tame Impala. "I tend to write songs with pretty chords and arpeggios, and I was kind of boring myself," Prochet recalled in a 2012 interview. "So I asked Kevin [Parker] to destroy everything."
Breakthrough
With Parker handling recording and the rhythm section, and Prochet handling pretty much everything else, the result of their collaboration was Melody's Echo Chamber. The band's self-titled 2012 debut album was met with rave reviews from Pitchfork, Drowned In Sound, and NME, among many others. Reviewers praised the vibrant, dreamy sound of the album, and Prochet's fragile, sweet vocals. The album peaked at #61 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, and reached #16 on the UK independent chart.
Hit Albums
Melody's Echo Chamber's second album comes out in mid-2015. We got our first taste with lead single "Shirim," the band's first new material since their 2012 debut. It's a psychedelic number with a halting rhythm, airy atmospherics, and a funk guitar line straight from the ether of the 1970s.
Show Experience
They may yet be a young band, but with the cult following of Tame Impala fans, and the incredibly positive reception for their first album, Melody's Echo Chamber tickets are highly sought-after.
These shows have fantastic buzz behind them, and the band delivers in spades. Using only a modest band and a no-frills stage setup, Melody's Echo Chamber are able to create a stunning, hypnotic live show. The addition of live drums helps kick up the energy and intensity of these songs. Prochet on stage is as sweet, minimalist, and deeply felt as her vocals. She keeps banter to a minimum, but seems to be swept up in the audience's love and her band's dreamy sound.
