Long Island Nets TicketsThe Long Island Nets is an NBA G League affiliate, serving as an important incubator of basketball talent for its owner and operator, the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn has the ability to call up certain players during the season. For example, players with two-way contracts will spend most of their time in Long Island, but they can play up to 45 days in the NBA every year. Brooklyn can also assign players with no more than three years of service to Long Island an unlimited number of times. The remaining roster is composed of draft picks, tryout players, returning players and players cut from NBA training camp rosters. The Nets announced in 2015 that it had acquired the rights to a development league team for the following season. The new Nets opened up the 2016 to 2017 season at the Barclays Center and finished with a 17-33 record. It then moved into the Nassau Coliseum for the 2018 to 2019 season.
