Leeds Varieties Music Hall was built way back in 1865 and, quite amazingly, the original decor is predominantly still intact. This makes it one of the few surviving Victorian era music halls, along with London's Hoxton Hall and Wilton's Music Hall. It achieved national fame in the 30 years during which the BBC's old-time music hall show, Good Old Days, was broadcast from there. While the TV production ended in the early 1980s, the hall has continued to hold Good Old Days music hall nights ever since.
