'Jack Whitehall: Stood Up' kicks off in Birmingham mid-November 2019 and travels round the UK before finishing its run in Manchester just before Christmas. Best known for his starring role in TV series Fresh Meat and Bad Education along with regular appearances on game shows like A League of Their Own, he's taken the country by storm with his own brand of observational, innuendo-laden material. Jack Whitehall Biography - From Edinburgh Fringe to Arenas
With a television producer father and Nigel Havers and Richard Griffiths as godparents, this successful comedian was destined for stardom from a young age. The joker has made no secret of his privileged upbringing and often refers to it in his shows with a witty one-liner or two. After attending university in Manchester for two terms, he took a gap year with the intention of pursuing stand-up comedy. His big break would come on TV when he landed a presenting role on a Big Brother spin-off programme. Producers took note and began asking the star to appear on panel shows including Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Fame truly came however when he starred in Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat. Inspired by his short time at Manchester University, the role won him critical acclaim and numerous awards whilst also leading to the commissioning of another comedy series Bad Education.
