The team was the Triple-A affiliate team for the San Francisco Giants from 1998-2014, the Houston Astros from 2015-2018 and the Washington Nationals since 2019. For the initial years of the team in Fresno, the Grizzlies played their home games at Pete Beiden Field at California State University, Fresno, until the completion of Grizzlies Stadium in 2002. The stadium is now known as Chukchansi Park, and the Grizzlies have brought epic baseball to the Fresno fans there ever since. The Fresno Grizzlies have some major ties to the MLB, one example being Buster Posey as the team's Opening Day catcher in 2010, who then went on to be the starting catcher for the San Francisco Giants six months later in the World Series.
