Frank Sinatra Tribute Tickets
During his lifetime, Frank Sinatra was the king of American entertainment. He won an Oscar, he hung out with U.S. presidents and he was as popular a singer as the music industry has ever known. Sinatra died in 1998, but we can rekindle some of our fond memories of him simply by purchasing Frank Sinatra Tribute tickets.
Schedule
There very well may be a Frank Sinatra tribute show playing somewhere close to where you live. Prominent venues that have hosted such shows include the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and the Concert Hall at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Trivia
Sinatra may have socialised with a group of entertainers who were known as the Rat Pack, but it turns out that he was actually a pack rat. That is, according to his daughter Tina, he hardly ever threw anything away. As a result, lots of Sinatra memorabilia is available for travelling exhibitions, such as the toys that he played with as a boy. In fact, Sinatra was reportedly buried with some items that he often carried, things like cigarettes and a bourbon bottle.
Singer
As a boy of eight, Sinatra began singing to earn money. He performed at a bar in his hometown of Hoboken, N.J., and he collected tips for his efforts. Expelled from high school for misbehaviour, he joined three other local singers when he was 19, and the young men formed a group called the Hoboken Four. This talented quartet soon won a radio contest and toured the U.S. as a result.
Breakthrough
Sinatra's musical career took many twists. He worked as a singing waiter for a while, and he recorded a couple of demo songs that failed to take off. His professional breakthrough came when he visited Chicago in late 1939. Popular bandleader Tommy Dorsey asked him to tour with his group as the vocalist. Those tours would introduce Sinatra to the American public and earn him many adoring young fans. What's more, they would eventually land him a record deal of his own in 1942, and the rest is musical history.
Hit Albums
Given how prolific he was, it's exceedingly difficult to choose the best of Sinatra's hit albums. However, if pressed, many fans and critics would single out "In the Wee Small Hours" (1955), a record that features sad and jazzy music. It deals with failing relationships and is characterised by an unshakable sense of loneliness. Another standout is "Come Fly with Me" (1958), which boasts songs about various destinations across the globe: Paris, Hawaii and New York among them. That album might be Sinatra's most fun and lighthearted, yet it's very romantic as well.
Show Experience
While Frank Sinatra tributes obviously vary, there are certain elements that you can expect from a high-quality production. For example, the show that you see will probably employ a live orchestra, one that could have as many as 32 musicians. In addition, the impersonator might wear intricate prosthetics so that he can bear the closest resemblance to Sinatra possible, and he might pause between songs to reminisce about friends like Dean Martin, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. If this performer is talented enough and if the setting is grand enough, the hushed audience members might find themselves magically transported to an earlier era. In that case, you'll truly feel the commanding, one-of-a-kind presence of the Chairman of the Board.
