Donny Osmond Biography - 50 Years in Music

Born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this singer started his career alongside his brothers as hugely popular group The Osmonds. After selling more than 80 million records during his childhood he became a teen idol in the early '70s after breaking out as a solo artist. He was catapulted into international fame with chart smash hits like 'Go Away Little Girl' and 'Puppy Love', both top five singles in the US. The '80s saw him reinvent his image, working with Peter Gabriel to produce songs like 'Soldier of Love', which was initially released anonymously.

He continued to have success touring the US and even hopping over the pond to see his UK fans, but would only return to the charts again in 2004 with 'Breeze On By', co-written with Take That star Gary Barlow. Following this, he took up residency in Las Vegas with his sister Marie for a show that proved so popular it was extended until the end of 2016.
