Dinosaur Jr Biography - Set to Release 11th Studio Album

The group started when founding members J Mascis and Lou Barlow split from their former punk outfit Deep Wound to the start the band with a new Jurassic era moniker, joined by Murph on drums. Along with their counterparts the Pixies and Nirvana, they were huge influences on the '90s alternative sound. After three albums released on independent labels - their eponymous debut, You're Living All Over Me and Bug - the trio disbanded in 1997.

However, fortunately for fans, the original founding members decided to regroup in 2005. It wasn't just a reunion jaunt though - they've brought out three more albums of new material, with the latest being I Bet On Sky in 2012. Critics and fans alike are hailing their new music as just as good - if not better - than the classic albums that made them famous. With their brand new LP Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not out in 2016, fans can expect an exciting blend of their biggest hits as well as plenty of their new music in every performance.
