Counterparts Tickets

Counterparts is a Canadian band with a melodic yet hardcore sound. They perform often and tours all over Canada and the United States. They have recorded four albums, a few EPs and many videos. They can be found on social media, as well as on YouTube, where their videos are prominently featured.

Schedule

Counterparts tickets will be available throughout North America, with stops in Canada, New York, Michigan and Pennsylvania, where they'll play the Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia. You can also catch them in Europe when they play at Backstage in Paris, France, as well as at many venues in Germany, including Underground in Cologne and Feirwerk in Munich. They'll also be touring in Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands and Belgium before turning their attention to the United Kingdom. There, they will hit some great venues, including The Forum in Tunbridge Wells, Counterparts in London, Sound Control in Manchester, Talking Heads in Southampton, The Venue in Derby, and The Key Club in Leeds.

Trivia

While many bands in the metal, death metal and hardcore categories are often breaking apart over personal conflicts, this band has, for the most part, held it together. Although they had a rough start due to member changes, they eventually settled on a core group of musicians. Counterparts was signed by Victory Records in 2011 and released "The Current Will Carry Us," which saw a marked departure from their previous work as they found a new sound and direction, based deeply in the lineup changes that had occurred within the group.

Band/Singer

While Counterparts lineup has changed numerous times over the years, the current lineup consists of Brendan Murphy (lead vocals), Jesse Doreen (guitar), Kelly Bilan (drums), Adrian Lee (guitar) and Brain Kaczmerczyk (bass). These five members know how to come together to create a great evening of music.

Breakthrough

The band's first album was "Prophets" in 2010. Their breakthrough album, however, came in 2013 with their album, "The Difference Between Hell and Home." This album hit the airwaves and was listed on the U.S. Indie Billboard Charts, as well as on the U.S. Indie Heatseekers Charts. The band has continued to produce other albums, but this album was the one that put them on the metal map and helped launch their touring career.

Hit Albums

While "The Difference Between Hell and Home" is the band's biggest album, their previous two albums also gained attention from fans. "The Prophets" was popular on the metal underground for years, and their second album, "The Current Will Carry Us," also resonated well with fans. The third album, however, was the hit that really grabbed media attention. The band is also very active on social media, which helped them gather followers before becoming stars.
