Experience the Galactic Trip of Zoé Live
For over two decades, Zoé has been a defining force in the landscape of Latin rock, crafting a unique sonic universe that blends psychedelic rock, alternative pop, and space rock with poetic, Spanish-language lyrics. Hailing from Mexico, this Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning band has become one of the most influential groups in the rock en español movement, celebrated for their innovative sound and captivating live performances. Fans across the globe are drawn to the band's ability to create a multisensory experience, fusing mesmerising visuals, art, and raw emotion into an unforgettable night of music.
From their early days in the mid-90s, influenced by Britpop and grunge, Zoé quickly carved out their own path. Their breakthrough came with albums like Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea, which shot to the top of the charts and established them as a major force. Subsequent albums, including the platinum-selling Reptilectric and the Grammy-winning Aztlán, solidified their legacy. The band, fronted by the charismatic León Larregui, is known for a sound that is both cosmic and deeply romantic, taking listeners on a journey through light and dark moods. Their live shows are a testament to this, known for being a grand affair with impressive light displays and graphics that perfectly complement their hypnotic grooves.
The Acclaimed Sound of Zoé
Zoé's discography is a testament to their constant evolution and artistic ambition. One of the most pivotal moments in their career was the release of their MTV Unplugged: Música de Fondo album in 2011. This project reimagined their greatest hits in an acoustic format, earning them multiple Latin Grammy awards, including Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Song for the iconic track "Labios Rotos". The album showcased the depth of their songwriting and their ability to connect with audiences on a more intimate level, featuring collaborations with artists like Enrique Bunbury. It remains a fan favourite and a landmark recording in the MTV Unplugged series.
More recently, their album Aztlán won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album in 2019, praised for its lush collection of romantic psychedelic pop and socially relevant themes. This album was seen as an invitation into their culture, a statement of Mexican pride and dignity. The band continues to tour extensively, bringing their celebrated catalogue to fans around the world. Their concerts are a chance to witness their mastery firsthand, from the shredding guitar solos of Sergio Acosta to the enchanting voice of Larregui. An upcoming opportunity to see them is the highly anticipated Zoé Las Vegas performance, promising another stellar show.
A Pillar of the Latin Music Scene
Zoé stands as a pillar in the diverse world of modern Latin music. Their unique psychedelic sound has influenced a generation of artists and has seen them share stages and festival bills with a wide array of talent. While their style is distinct, they are part of a vibrant musical community that includes global superstars like the reggaeton sensation Karol G and the beloved pop-rock artist Kany Garcia. This diversity showcases the richness of Latin music, where Zoé's cosmic rock provides a compelling contrast to other popular genres.
