Wembley Stadium - Home of English Football

London's premier stadium and sporting arena for over 90 years, this home of English football was built in 1923, and became the site that saw the World Cup victory of 1966. In 2007 it underwent a £750 million renovation. Still located on the original site, the stadium now offers visitors a chance to revel in the incredible atmosphere of the second largest stadium in Europe, with its 90,000 seats.

Whilst renowned for its association with football, as a regular fixture on the FA Cup, Premier League and UEFA Champions League, the venue has also been used for a huge variety of events. During the recent 2012 Olympics, it was used for the opening ceremony and hosted many of the games and races. It has also showcased everything from American football matches, to boxing, to rugby. Also an atmospheric music venue, performers to have graced the stage include George Michael, Take That and One Direction.

Venue Information

The stadium has its own dedicated underground station, Wembley Park, which is easily accessible on the London Underground via Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. Parking at the stadium is limited, with a small number of official parking spots available. Local buses that stop directly at the stadium include 18, 83, 92 and 224, while rail users can disembark at Wembley Stadium station.
