One of the world's oldest and most prestigious tennis tournaments
Check the StubHub website for the latest information and buy your US Open Tennis tickets here! Formally known as the United States Open Tennis Championships, the US Open evolved from the US National Championship, which was established back in 1881, making it one of the oldest tennis championships in the world. It is also considered one of the greatest tennis tournaments in the world, and is the last of the four Grand Slam tournaments that take place throughout the year - the others being the Australian Open Tennis, the French Open Roland Garros and Wimbledon. It is held after the Wimbledon Championships over late August and early September. The competition takes place on hard courts and consists of five main categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The tournament is unique because tiebreakers are also played in the final sets for men and women, instead of continuing play until one player is leading by two games in the final set to win. Why watch all the drama unfold on TV when you can see it for yourself courtside?
