Train the band: American pop-rock veterans

Train: US rockers coming up to 25 years in the music business
Though formed in 1993, it took until after the millennium for Pat Monahan and company to became household names with their second offering Drops Of Jupiter in 2001. The album's title track won Train two Grammys (for Best Rock Album and Best Arrangement respectively) and remained in the Top 40 for almost forty weeks, while the album sold over three million records, reached multi-platinum status and remains the band's best-selling album to date.
In 2003 Train's much-anticipated follow-up My Private Nation was released, boasting a more adult-contemporary sound compared to their earlier work and the stand-out single "Calling All Angels", which took the album platinum.
Driven by the single "Hey, Soul Sister" – their second career Top 10 – 2009's Save Me San Francisco was to be the band's next success, while their sixth album California 37, was supported by a notable performance at Wembley during the NFL International Series.
Train: Christmas album and paying homage to Led Zeppelin
2014's Bulletproof Picasso (including the singles "Cadillac, Cadillac" and "Give it All") proved another hit among fans with a massive 40-date Picasso at the Wheel US tour with The Fray and Matt Nathanson following. The band released Christmas in Tahoe in November 2015, a fifteen-song record, twelve of which are covers of other holiday songs. A year later, Train's cover of "This Christmas" charted at number one on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart.
In June 2016, Train released their first full cover album, and ninth overall studio album, titled Train Does Led Zeppelin II: a song by song replication of the classic 1969 Led Zeppelin album. Train launched a US tour to support the album, and played "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman) on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Train released four singles in 2017: "Play That Song", "Drink Up", "The News" and "Lottery"; all from their tenth studio album A Girl, a Bottle, a Boat and tour the world in 2018.
