TobyMac is a top-performing Christian hip-hop artist known for hit singles such as "Get Back Up," "City on Our Knees" and "Me Without You." Over the course of his career as a solo artist, TobyMac has released seven studio albums and four remixed albums. His album Eye on It debuted in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, making him the third Christian artist in history with an album to do so. His 2018 album, The Elements, debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. He has six No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. His albums Eye on It and Tonight are both certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Born Kevin Michael McKeehan, TobyMac's musical career began when he and Michael Tait formed DC Talk while at Liberty University in 1987. Soon joined by Kevin Max Smith, DC Talk went on to be one of the most popular bands in Christian music with the release of their multi-platinum album Jesus Freak in 1995. Jesus Freak was their fourth studio album, preceded by Free At Last which was certified Platinum, Nu Thang which was certified Gold. Their self-titled debut album, DC Talk. DC Talk disbanded in 2001, with its members, including TobyMac, going on to pursue solo careers. TobyMac released his first solo album, Momentum, in 2001 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. TobyMac has worked on several songs with former DC Talk members since they disbanded, including "Love Feels Like" on his 2015 album This is Not a Test.
