Owned and operated by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Thompson-Boling Arena was named after the former university president Dr. Edward J. Boling and B. Ray Thompson. The grand opening of the arena was in 1987, and it serves as a home to both the men's and women's University of Tennessee basketball teams named the Volunteers and the Lady Vols. You can also attend concerts, commencement ceremonies, family-friendly events and other special events.
