The Neighbourhood is a Californian alternative rock band that got together in 2011 and have been making laid back music, as well as the soundtracks to your favourite TV shows, ever since. Known to their young fans as The NBHD and often dressed in black and white, with monochrome themed sets, the five-piece band features Jesse Rutherford on vocals, guitarists Zach Abels and Jeremy Freedman, Mikey Margott on bass, and Brandon Alexander Fried on drums. When it comes to defining The Neighbourhood’s music, there are comparisons to Brit indie band The 1975, it can be described as a mix of indie rock, hip-hop, and R ‘n’ B beats, with alternative guitar, and is often sampled on popular cult TV shows like Vampire Diaries, Made in Chelsea and Jersey Shore.
