Performers at The Independent
The Independent TicketsOne of San Francisco's premier concert venues, The Independent is an intimate 21-and-over club that hosts emerging musicians as well as the occasional big-name performer who drops by to enjoy connecting with the crowd. Known for its state-of-the-art lighting and acoustics, excellent sight lines and friendly staff, The Independent hosts about 275 shows a year. A popular site drawing music lovers for more than five decades, it went through quite a few changes of name and ownership before reopening in 2004 in its current form. It was previously a bar; a jazz club where Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk played; a club that hosted Nirvana, Jane's Addiction and The Flaming Lips; and a hip-hop venue, among other incarnations. Since The Independent presents an eclectic mix of genres, including indie rock, comedy, hip-hop and EDM, the crowd can be unique for every show. The current slate of performers includes The Barr Brothers, The Wild Reeds and Jesse Rutherford. Grab tickets to see your favorite Independent events at StubHub.
