The Corrs - Back With a new Album For 2015 White Light

These Celtic Irish stars dominated the pop scene of the 90s with their unique rock and folk sound. The brother and three sisters released five albums during their career, with numerous singles and a number of platinum selling albums. Famous for their massive hits 'Everybody Hurts', 'Breathless' and 'Runaway' the band were easily one of the biggest pop acts in the world during the 1990s and early 2000s.

The Corrs Biography - Irish Pop Legends

Consisting of three sisters Andrea, Sharon and Caroline - as well their brother Jim on guitar - the band began their musical career performing at local pubs. Their path to fame began when the quartet auditioned for the movie The Commitments. After impressing musician John Hughes, he soon agreed to be their manager. While the band steadily became well known in Ireland, it wasn't until they were asked to perform at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in Boston that the band found international fame while touring with Celine Dion.

The group's debut album Forgiven, Not Forgotten brought the group to superstardom worldwide, but nowhere did the record sell better than in their home country where it went platinum four times over. The group released their most successful album to date in 2008 with Talk on Corners. Featuring hits like 'What Can I Do' the album became one of the highest selling albums in the UK in history. The group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2006 to concentrate on their families, but in 2015 the group returned to the scene with a bang after performing at Live in Hyde Park and announcing plans for a new album. With new music in the form of album White Light, there is no stopping these Irish pop legends from whipping their fans into a frenzy once more.
