A journey from Barcelona to Wales

Born in 1983 in the small town of Issaquah, Washington, Brian Fennell then lived in Seattle before returning back to his home town to set up his own studio to write and produce songs. His musical talent began at a young age, when he started playing the piano and writing songs while still at school. Fennell formed the band Barcelona in 2005 and cites Coldplay, U2, Death Cab For A Cutieand Copeland as influences. In 2016, before the release of Barcelona's third album, Fennell wrote and recorded a series of songs in his basement recording studio and released his solo debut EP with a sound that has been influenced by his connection to his Welsh lineage.
