Scooter: new album and Brixton concert

Techno trio Scooter are one of the biggest bands to come out of Germany in the last two decades, having sold over 30 million records and scored 23 top ten hits with songs like "Hyper Hyper" and "Ramp! (The Logical Song)". After delighting fans with a 20th anniversary tour in 2014 – which saw founding member Rick J. Jordan perform for the last time before leaving the band – Scooter returned in 2017 with their nineteenth studio album Scooter Forever.

Scooter: from filling dancefloors to packing out arenas

Between 1987 and 1992, H.P. Baxxter and Rick J. Jordan formed part of synth-pop band Celebrate the Nun, seeing moderate success in the German dance charts until the new wave trend moved on. Adopting a new sound, they made a huge first impression on the German singles chart with "Hyper Hyper"; hitting the number two spot and selling more than 750,000 copies.

By 1998 every release was hitting the top of the charts, including single "How Much is the Fish?" and album No Time to Chill. Their seventh studio album Sheffield followed in 2000 seeing a new direction in sound, but it was in 2001 that the group broke into the UK market with single "Ramp (The Logical Song)" reaching the number two position.

After Alex Coon's departure in 2002, the band introduced Jay Frog and released their second compilation album 24 Carat Gold, with single "Nessaja" hitting the number one spot in the German charts. The Stadium Techno Experience, Mind The Gap and Who's Got the Last Laugh Now? followed before Frog left the group to pursue a solo career. The band toured the UK as part of Clubland Live with Cascada and Ultrabeat in 2008, and as a result, their album Jumping All Over The World gave them their first UK number one.
