Scandinavium, which opened in 1971 in the heart of Gšteborg, Sweden, has had the honour of hosting legendary artists from Elton John to Bob Dylan. It is also the home of Gšteborg's own ice hockey team. In addition to classic musical artists, you can see modern folk groups such as Mumford & Sons in concert here as well. Various groups or teams have selected the arena as a premier championship venue no less than 50 times. The 1985 Eurovision contest was held at Scandinavium. Designers chose to arrange Scandinavium seating into a single-level grandstand. A special sweeping roof gives the venue a unique appearance that attendees can spot from a great distance. Scandinavium is located in Gšteborg's event district in the central part of the city. You can take a tram to the Scandinavium stop just outside the venue. This stop serves city Lines 2, 6, 8, 13 and 14. In addition, several bus lines stop within a short walking distance of the venue.
